Summer at the Studio

Summer at the studio, the woodpecker is now a regular visitor to the feeders in the window, along with a cheeky grey squirrel. A Red squirrel has been seen very close to the studio so hopefully we can encourage him to visit us.

The Studio is just the most beautiful place abound with birds and wildlife

Rasna - My new sponsored child in Nepal

This is very exciting news.......

Rasna Marjahan the little girl whose education Lakes Holistic will be sponsoring in
place of Santa Bika.
Rasna has been receiving help through Images of Nepal until a sponsor became avaialble.
Rasna is 8 years old and lives with her mother, father and baby sister.
Her father is unable to work due to mental health problems and as such the family are living in an impoverished state.
It is my intention to visit Rasna and her family in Nepal in February 2013.

Rasna with her mother Asmita Maharjan and baby sister at their home in Nepal.
Rasna is in class 2 at Baishnavi High School.

It is with mixed feelings that I receive the news that my sponsored little girl Santa Bika in Nepal has discontinued her education and returned with her family to their home in the Himalayan mountain regions. The reduced threats on land owners by the moists means that those who once worked the land are now able to return to their homelands. It is doubtful if I will ever see Santa again, but wish her and her family health and happiness as they resume their life in the foothills of everest.
Santa was the first child I sponsored through the charity, I still contine to sponsor Puja.

New Beginnings

I am absolutely thrilled to announce that with effect from the 1st May 2012 I will be moving my therapy room from New Look Salon in Staveley to Studio C, Rayrigg Farm Studios in Windermere.
The studio is a beautifully restored grade 2 listed building on the Rayrigg Hall Estate offering generous space in a tranquil location close by the shores of Lake Windermere.
While  I appreciate it will involve travelling slightly further for some clients I am sure that once you have visited the location you will feel it is well worth travelling the extra few miles.

I would like to thank all my clients over the last 12 years for their support at Staveley and ask you to continue with this support and join me on this very exciting new journey. For many years now I have aspired to having my own therapy space, set out to my own requirements, somewhere where the energy was perfect for those seeking peace, quiet, and relaxation – without going looking this wonderful opportunity has ‘found’ me.

Joining me in the Studio will be my daughter Sarah, she will have her own room where she will creating her beautiful hand woven items, Sarah welcomes you to call in and see her work in progress. More details on Sarah’s work can be found at: www.sarahcharmain.co.uk

The studio will be equipped with tea & coffee making facilities; washroom and ample free parking, with the provision to wander down to the lake shore relax and take in the superb scenery.

I will continue to offer treatments at the nearby Windermere Manor Hotel, and for those who feel they are going to find it too far to travel I will be available for home visits.
